ほさか夏子 HOSAKA NATSUKO プロフィール
1956年山梨県山梨市生まれ。O型。
夫のDVから逃れた母。両親の離婚に始まり、小学校低学年から原因不明の偏頭痛、治療のため1971年東京の中学に転校するがイジメに合い不登校に。1972年、東京の高校で寮生活を送るが適合できず、1974年、山梨の高校へ編入。しかしここでもいたたまれず家出。1975年、再び東京の高校へ戻る。後に母も上京し、母娘２人の東京暮らしは相次ぐ引越しを重ね、母は懸命に働いた。
東京の高校時代、近所のシャンソニエ「シャンソン・フレーール」に出入りするようになる。様々なアルバイトを重ねながら、西荻窪の「プチ・メゾン」で歌い始める。
1979年頃、シャンソン界で“すごい新人がいるらしい”と噂になる。1980年、銀座の老舗シャンソニエ「銀巴里」のオーディションを受け合格し、1990年まで“保坂夏子”で「銀巴里」を中心に活躍。美輪明宏や金子由香利等の前座を務めた。新人では異例の抜擢を受け、1982年、銀巴里レーベルからアルバム「愛をもとめて」をリリース。ライナーノーツは美輪明宏が書いている。
銀巴里閉店後、居場所が見つからず歌手活動休止。専業主婦生活へ。音楽などなくても生きていけると、好きな曲さえ聴かない暮らしが長く続いたが、ある日、無意識に歌を口ずさむと涙が溢れ、歌を歌わなければ生きられない事に気づき、魂に火がつく。
2010年、新しいミュージシャンやプロデューサーとの出会いがあり、還暦を前にして再挑戦を決意。実母の介護をしながら歌い、2015年に見送った現在は、義母の介護もしながら歌い、定期的にライブ活動を行なっている。ジャンルを超えたバンドサウンドを携え、新たな世界に踏み出した。
2016年にリリースした「調剤室コンサート」の収録曲、“Je suis malade〜灰色の途”の動画に、ドイツ、フランス、イタリア等、欧米から賞賛のコメントが集まり注目され始めている。

Born in Yamanashi City, Yamanashi Prefecture, in 1956. Blood type is O.
From 1980 to 1990, she was active mainly in the chansonnier “Ginpari”, which produced Maki Asakawa, Akihiro Miwa, Kiyoshi Hasegawa, and Yukari Kaneko. After Ginpari closed, she couldn’t find her own path, so she suspended her singing activities. In 2010, she met a producer and a new team of musicians, and in 2016, she released her New album in 34 years, returning to the starting line.
The first half of her life can hardly be described as an innocent and healthy childhood. A mother fleeing her husband’s domestic violence. Starting with her parents’ divorce, she suffered from extreme food allergies as a child, unexplained migraines from early elementary school, and although she transferred to a middle school in Tokyo for treatment, she was bullied and stopped going to school. She lived in a dormitory in high school, but she could no longer stand it and transferred to a high school in Yamanashi, then ran away from home. She returned to high school in Tokyo, but from that time on, the mother and daughter’s lives were interspersed with a series of relocations.
Her first encounter with music was in chorus. Her chorus club, which she entered in the upper grades of elementary school, won the NHK Chorus Competition Prefectural Tournament. When she was absent from school in her third year of junior high school, she found herself in Shin-Okubo’s “Philharmonic Chorus.” She touched chanson for the first time at the chanson cafe she went to when she was in high school. One of her regular customers is a professional, and she started singing while working part-time at his recommendation. In 1980, she made her debut at Ginpari and attracted a great deal of attention. In 1982, she released the album “Ai wo motomete (To find love)” on the Ginpari label. She continued to sing for several years, but was never able to reach the level of Miwa and Kaneko, and Ginpari closed its doors. She gave up singing for a while.
On the recommendation of a friend, she began singing. With new encounters, his soul was ignited. The video of “Je suis malade”, a song from the “Tiny Pharmacy Concert” released in 2016, began receiving comments of praise from Europe and the United States. The number of audiences who come to live has also increased.
